The FUNdamentals program is designed by Ringette Canada and supported by Ringette Ontario to give children under the age of 10 the best possible start in ringette. The focus is on fun, friendships, and fundamental skill development in a safe, welcoming environment. Children are grouped by developmental stage rather than strictly based on age, so they can progress when they are ready, which helps to build confidence on the ice every step of the way.

Ideal bridge between FUN divisions and upper levels of ringette
FUN programming ensures that children are learning in a way that fits their stage of development. Smaller teams, shorter shifts, and scaled-down playing surfaces help players stay active and engaged — and most importantly, have fun while learning the game of ringette.
This approach supports long-term athlete development, helping kids build confidence, physical literacy, and a lifelong love of sport.
You are to remain at the arena the entire time.
No kids are to be dropped off and left without parental supervision. Falls happen unexpectedly and care and comfort may be required from you. Bathroom breaks are also your responsibility to maneuver.
Arrive early to allow for adequate dressing time to be ready to get on the ice on time.
The success of our programming relies on parents, like you! Parent volunteering is vital to the success of our program. The following areas of assistance include:
Coaching
On-ice assistance
Opening & closing rink door
Helping kids get dressed or tie skates
