Welcome to GSRA's Rock the Rink — a celebration of Sudbury’s mining heritage, northern toughness, and the electric energy that fills our arenas every season. This year, we’re cranking up the volume, the excitement, and the ice.

Sudbury is built on rock. Ringette is built on speed, teamwork, and heart. Add the spirit of rock and roll — the lights, the rhythm, the adrenaline — and you get a tournament experience that’s louder, prouder, and unmistakably ours.

Rock the Rink celebrates the rhythm of teamwork, the adrenaline of competition and the heart of our athletes and volunteers. Every game is a show, every team brings its own soundtrack, and every moment is amplified - ringette style.

Divisions, Categories and Fees

Game Guarantees

• 4 Game Guarantee - University (18+U)

• Minimumm 3 Game Guarantee - U10 (FUN3), U12A, U12B/C, U14B/C, U16B/C, U19B/C, 18+B/C

• All divisions will have semi-final games.

• FUN2 Jamboree (1-Day Event) - 2 games plus off-ice activities.

Tournament Package

To make your tournament experience even better, we’ve prepared a GSRA Tournament Package for all participating teams. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to enjoy your time in Greater Sudbury, both on and off the ice.

The package includes:

• Tournament Rules - a quick reference to ensure fair play and smooth competition.

• Places to Eat - a guide to local restaurants, from family-friendly spots to grab team meals.

• Things to Do - suggestions for activities and attractions to explore while you’re here.

Whether you’re grabbing a bite between games or looking for fun ways to spend your downtime, the GSRA Tournament Package will help you make the most of your weekend.

Schedules, standings, leaders, and tournament updates will be available through the Ringette Ontario Games Portal. GSRA will be using RAMP for registration, scheduling, standings and statistics.

Payment & Refund Information

Payment

• E-transfer (preferred): Send to sudburyringette.treasurer@gmail.com

  • Automatic deposit, no password required.

  • If a password is required, use: ringette

  • Please include your name, association, and level in the notes.

• If you require another payment method, please email gsratournamentsandevents@gmail.com.

Payment Deadline: October 23, 2026

Refunds

• Teams withdrawing before October 30, 2026 will receive a full refund.

• No refunds will be issued after October 30, 2026.

• Per Ringette Ontario: Once a Provincial-level team has been assigned to a tournament, they cannot withdraw without Provincial Competitions Committee approval unless extenuating circumstances apply.

• If GSRA is unable to host due to provincial restrictions or facility closures, teams will receive a full refund.

 Scheduling 

• U19 and younger teams may be scheduled as early as 10:00 a.m. Friday morning.
• Where possible, consideration will be given to out-of-town teams.
• 16, U19, and 18+ teams should also be prepared for late-evening games.
• All teams should be prepared to start up to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Substitutions 

Teams requiring player substitutions or bench staff substitutions must:

1. Contact their Regional Competitions Coordinator.

2. Complete the required forms.

3. Submit approved TRF adjustments to gsringette@gmail.com at least 24 hours before your first game.
